From whole brains to full behavior. We leverage high-throughput tracking and 3D/4D light-sheet imaging to capture live neural dynamics and complex behaviors with unprecedented clarity.
Big data. Intact brains. Real-time behavior. We combine automated behavioral profiling with whole-mount light-sheet microscopy to map biology in action.

Making Waves in Behavioral Neuroscience: High-Precision Automated Assays
Mapping Zebrafish Behavior: Quantifying Movement, Stress, and Memory with Automated Tracking
We evaluate locomotor activity, anxiety-related traits, and social dynamics using standardized behavioral assays in adult and larval zebrafish (Danio rerio). Behavioral tracking is conducted in customized multi-well plates or open-field arenas using high-resolution automated camera systems.
Using video-tracking software, we quantify key metrics—including total distance traveled, velocity, freezing bouts, thigmotaxis (wall-seeking behavior), and shoal cohesion—to screen neuroactive compounds, model neurological disorders, and assess environmental neurotoxicity with high temporal precision.

Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM)
We perform high-resolution, long-term 3D and 4D imaging using Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM / SPIM). By illuminating samples with a thin sheet of laser light orthogonal to the detection axis, LSFM confines fluorophore excitation strictly to the focal plane. This optical sectioning design dramatically reduces phototoxicity and photobleaching compared to conventional confocal systems, allowing continuous, gentle imaging of live specimens over hours or days. Our setup supports high-throughput, multi-view acquisition of live zebrafish embryos, cleared tissue samples, and organoids, delivering isotropic spatial resolution and high temporal precision for tracking rapid biological processes in real time.
